Thank you all for participating in what will surely go down as one of the greatest nights of both of our lives. even some months later, we are still processing every minute, every moment, and a hell of a lot of emotions. we always knew that the folks in our circle were top tier, but we couldn’t have possibly pulled this off without the contributions (big + small) from each and every one of you. I’m sure every single one of you experienced some kind of curveball throughout the weekend. What a testament to our amazing and talented friends and family that those unexpected obstacles were handled in such stride. Reilly and I truly had the night of our lives. all thanks to you.
I know I said “no speeches” but i had intended on giving a simple one anyway. so strap in.
A little bit of background: i’m sure you saw the “dot dot dash” motif that adorned our invitations, koozies, sandwich boards, guitar picks, and so so so much more. when reilly and i first met - true to our oddball/problem solving nature - we were trying to find a way to better communicate at all of the loud rock shows we enjoy so much. We settled on learning some basic morse code (of course). we started with “i love you” [ .. .-.. —- ...- . -.— —- ..- ] but that gets a bit tedious. we eventually shortened it to just the letter “u” [ ..- ]
Now that “u” includes all of you.
I’ll leave you with the bizarre, iphone notepad ramblings of a late night josh that we began channeling as our inspiration and mantra throughout the planning of this… event?
Something, something, Charles bradley.
